Qatar Supports the Education of 596,000 Children in the Republic of Mali with an Estimated Contribution of $ 40 million

The State of Qatar and the Republic of Mali signed an agreement to support the enrolment of 596,000 students in primary schools in the Republic of Mali with an estimated contribution of USD 40 million, in cooperation with the Education Above All foundation. H.E. Mr. Khalifa bin Jassim Al Kuwari, Director General of the Qatar Fund for Development, signed on behalf of the State of Qatar, while the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Mali, Abdullah Diop, signed on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Mali.

Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) stated that it allocates the largest share of funding to the education sector, in line with Qatar’s foreign aid priorities. QFFD added that improving children’s access to primary education is the engine of human development. The qualitative education is crucial to QFFD that exerts hard efforts to build strong partnerships between Governments, organizations and communities.
