Qatar Fund for Development signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar University to provide support to the Middle East Institute at the National University of Singapore. The partnership agreement between the Gulf Studies Center at Qatar University and the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at the National University of Singapore aimed at promoting research and development activities in accordance with their needs and objectives.

Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) has provided support in the amount of USD 300,000 to the Middle East Institute at the National University of Singapore to further elaborate on studies related to the State of Qatar and the Republic of Singapore.

The Middle East Institute is one of the most important institutes in South East Asia as it conducts researches and studies and organizes debates on political, economic, cultural and social issues in the Arab world and the Middle East. 50,000 people will benefit from the project, which aims at supporting the Middle East Institute at the National University of Singapore in the area of research in the Arab world in cooperation with Qatar University.
