Qatar Fund for Development Reaffirms Its Commitment to Fully Supporting the Palestinian People through Continuous Humanitarian Cooperation

Doha, Qatar – With continued unwavering commitment, the State of Qatar remains steadfast in supporting the Palestinian people in Gaza during a time of immense humanitarian need. The State of Qatar is providing flexible humanitarian and developmental aid to address the urgent challenges facing Gaza, alleviating their suffering and supporting their lives for a dignified future.
In line with the country’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian assistance and under the umbrella of the Qatar Aid Initiative, the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), in collaboration with its partners, has launched several initiatives aimed at alleviating suffering and fostering long-term resilience in the Gaza Strip.
To date, the Fund has dispatched 800 trucks, delivering 25,000 shelters and 120,000 ready-to-eat food parcels, along with essential items such as blankets, flour, and hygiene baskets, to address the urgent needs of affected families. In addition to this immediate relief, two helicopters have been deployed, carrying 29,000 medicine packages, including critical antibiotics, to meet the health needs of those impacted.
Additionally, 423 trucks carrying 23 million liters of fuel were sent to ensure a stable power supply across the strip. Furthermore, as part of efforts to contribute to Gaza’s reconstruction and enhance its resilience, heavy machinery has been dispatched to clear debris, along with the ongoing provision of shelter for displaced individuals through caravans.
Reflecting a deep commitment to upholding human dignity, Sheikha Muthayel Al-Thani, Head of Humanitarian Programs and Projects at QFFD, assured the Fund’s responsibility by stating: “By providing both immediate aid and long-term development solutions, Qatar aims to empower Palestinians in Gaza and pave the way for tenacity and resilience. Through the Fund, we are committed to supporting the people of Gaza during challenging times. Our mission is rooted in providing relief, fostering resilience, and enabling sustainable development for communities in need in Gaza and around the world.
In closing, QFFD reiterates its dedication to working with the various state actors, and local and international partners, to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of aid to those in need. The Fund will continue to be a key player in the international effort to support Gaza, embodying Qatar’s commitment to promoting global solidarity and shared responsibility.
